Our Story, Gender Equality & Science…

Gender Equality is a fundamental
human right and a necessary foundation
for a peaceful, prosperous, and
sustainable world [6].

The Khapregesic® Business has
adopted this principal as it’s
predominant Social driver.

These are two important stories,
gender equality meets science.

Our story is rich is scientific research, however as we move forward, we are crafting an important role in Gender Equality.

Believed to be one of the factors holding back the progress of gender equality, are the painful complications associated with the menstrual cycle, disabling billions of women every month.

Studies confirm that close to 90% of women of reproductive age experience Period Pain.
Of these women it is estimated that half, 1.17 billion, or 15% of global populations [7],[8] require medication for severe period pain and pre-menstrual symptoms [9], with many forced to take days off from education and paid employment.

My personal motivation to focus on menstrual challenges started as a teen with the removal of an ovarian cyst the size of a large orange. Later I tried The Pill and like many women,
I found the side effects of The Pill more debilitating and stopped using it.

Struggling on with life as many of us do, one period at a time,
I wish I had Khapregesic®.

I do feel blessed, however, to have given birth to two girls. Now independent young women in their own right, they have been integral to bringing Khapregesic® to life.

My past professional career and my difficult menstrual journey, have combined perfectly. I feel well equipped, but mostly honoured to discuss first period issues with teens and their mothers, pain issues with working mothers, and sharing peri and post menopausal life challenges with women my own age.

I now manage a majority female team who drive the Khapregesic® message through personal experiences.

[7] A study in the Journal of Pain Research indicates that 55% of young women have an association between menstrual pain and the need for medication.
[8] A study in the Royal Australian College of General Practitioner Journal indicates 58% of young women have an association between menstrual pain and the need for medication.
[9] Severe pre-menstrual symptoms can manifest in many forms such as: discomfort from bloating, painful breast tissue, shivers, back pain and brain fog, just to mention a few.

True disruption occurs when multiple disciplines collide, creating something new and outstanding.  Our goal to create quality natural medicines backed by science has gone beyond our wildest dreams.

We are disrupting the global pain relief market by developing a fast-acting natural pain relief supplement.

After 10 years of scientific research in plant science, medicines and process engineering, we’ve gone beyond the laboratory, beyond regulatory approvals and beyond clinical testing, to now having hundreds of consumers experiencing the natural fast-acting benefits of Khapregesic®.

Khapregesic® has been developed from the ground up. We grow the medicinal trees and have been fortunate to collaborate with some of the finest scientific minds. The years of research started with exploring plant genetics and ground water interaction largely with the CSIRO. We then invented harvest technology to allow the trees to thrive post-harvest. This gave us a sustainable and renewable natural resource. As there is no need to chop down our trees, we continue to store carbon for the benefit of the planet.

In parallel our team of bio-chemists discovered medicinal properties and active compounds in collaboration with some of the world’s preeminent scientists from Griffith University in Queensland, Southern Cross University in New South Wales and the University of Western Australia. We’ve never been short on scientific talent and mentors.

Understanding the physical characteristics of the plant combined with the medicinal properties, our process engineers adopted advanced methods to create processing technology that would ensure a ‘whole’ medicine (not an extract) was created with the sole objective to be fast-acting.

The breakthrough occurred in clinical testing and continues with hundreds of consumers experiencing the natural fast-acting benefits of Khapregesic®.

Advisory Board inclusions
